Students in grades 2-8 are needed to sing at the children’s liturgies. All that is needed is the ability to follow directions and cooperate in a group. Practice is held Wednesday afternoon in the Church or Kazista Center.
Singers and musicians provide music for the 5 p.m. Saturday, 9 a.m., 10:30 a.m., noon and 5 p.m. Sunday Masses. Singers need an ability to follow directions and attend rehearsal. Usually one evening practice per week and one weekend Mass.
Sings the assembly Mass parts and some additional motets in four parts. Singers need the ability to match pitch. We will train you. One evening practice and Sunday Mass commitment.
Sing/play instrument at the 5 p.m. Sunday Youth Mass once per month. Students in grades 8-12 welcome. Will train. Thursday evening practices in Church.

Wash and carefully iron purificators and corporals used at Mass. Attention to detail is important. Will train. Volunteer commitment: once per month.
Before the First Reading at the 9 and 10:30 a.m. Masses on Sundays, children are invited to process out and assemble in the Chapel for a presentation on that day’s Scripture readings.
Help children read and understand the scripture proclaimed at Mass. Vitus training is required, but can be completed through SJB. Volunteer commitment: once a month at either the 9:00 a.m. or 10:30 a.m. Mass.
Holy Communion Ministers bring the body and blood of Christ to the Church. Initial training and occasional ongoing formation sessions are required. Must be a Catholic in good standing who has received the Sacraments of Initiation (Baptism, Confirmation & Eucharist).
Sign-up for one hour time(s) to be or to pray before the Blessed Sacrament. Opportunity available on Fridays from 9:00 a.m. to 4:00 p.m. in the Chapel. For more information, contact the Parish Office, 301-622-1122 or the Liturgist.
Proclaim the word of God from the ambo in the sanctuary. Good, clear speaking voice necessary. Training provided. Volunteer commitment: once or twice a month.
Responsible for liturgical art and environment in Church and Chapel. Design, art, sewing or floral experience helpful. Set up/decorating needed at Christmas, Easter and holy days. 3-4 meetings per year.
Welcome as Jesus all who come to Mass. Assist with seating, directions and collection at least one Sunday Mass per month. Outgoing personality helpful. Training provided. Volunteer commitment: 1-4 times per month.
Help our head sacristan and liturgist set up and take down everything we need for Mass on the weekends. Must be at least 18 years old, and an independent worker with attention to detail. Will train. Volunteer commitment: once a month, 4-5 hours.
