Our Parish is pleased to participate once again in the Annual Archdiocesan Lenten Food Drive to benefit the John S. Mulholland Family Foundation and the 9 Parish Food Pantries they support in Washington’s poorest neighborhoods.
Food insecurity continues to be a major problem in our city, and with the numbers of families visiting us increasing, and the continued high cost of groceries, your help is especially needed this year.
Donation bags to collect needed items will be available at Masses March 15/16.
Please bring your donation of non-perishable food to Mass with you on the weekend of April 5-6 and limit your donations to the following: ● Canned Tuna or chicken ● Cheerios or other low sugar cereal ● Canned vegetables (green beans, corn, peas) ● Canned soup (hearty varieties are best) ● Peanut butter and jelly (plastic only; no glass) ● Baked Beans, Mac & Cheese, Chef Boyardee ● Pasta and Pasta Sauce (plastic only; no glass) ● Giant Food $25 Gift Cards
If you are unable to participate because you are out of town, monetary donations are welcome and will be used to purchase fresh produce, milk and eggs, meat and poultry.
You may send your donation directly the to Mulholland Foundation, 1629 K Street, NW, Suite 300, Washington, DC 20006 or donate by credit card online at MulhollandCharities.org.
